Designed an updated night navigation system to allow flying my drone at night and returning safely home by essentially following a set of lights setup to create a safe flying corridor through a bunch of trees and other obstacles. Worked out pretty well.
Deer vs. Pulsar Thermion XP50 (No Shooting)
I just finished doing some night flying with my drone and went out to collect some nav lights out in a pasture, when I saw four sets of green eyes peering at me from the tree line (I was wearing a headlamp, thus the eye reflection). My first thought was, $%^& coyotes! So, I walked calm back to the house and grabbed my Nocturnal Coyote Popper (AR + Thermion). As you can see here, they weren’t coyotes, but just a few deer. Before someone makes a nasty comment, the reticle is bouncing and bobbing all over the place because I wasn’t actually aiming, and was struggling with a few of the scopes controls (because I haven’t gotten behind the damn thing in …. lets just say …. way too long.)
